Many of you have written to let me know that my column helps you make better decisions on how you spend your money on magic. For those of you who want to save even more, or sell your used magic at better prices, here's a website you should visit to purchase or sell used magic tricks, books, and illusions: magicauction.com.

Magic Auction is run by Joe and Christine Tripi. Inspired by the many magic flea markets where magicians sell their magic for 25 cents on the dollar, they combined their talents in marketing, design, and computer programming to create magicauction.com.

You list your item and set an asking price. Visitors to the site can bid on the item. At the end of a week, if your item is sold, you send it to Joe and Chris who forward it to the buyer. Then a check for your asking price is sent to you. More details are on their web site. This sounds like a great way to clean out the magic closet without ever leaving home, and a terrific way to shop for tricks and books at a reduced price.
