ILLUSION ARTS This is an Illusion Arts Magic original. This dramatic looking effect brings an effective penetration effect to the smaller stage. The Magi introduces an narrow (20) cabinet and has an assistant enter virtually filling the cabinet. A cover is placed on front and the Magi introduces eight 32 spikes mounted on an aluminum holder. Spikes pierce the cabinet and when the cover is removed the girl once inside is gone. Covering the cabinet and removing the spikes restores the assistant once more. Cabinet is 36 inches high and 40 inches wide. It sits on a table 20 inches high, 46 inches wide and 25 inches deep. WELLINGTON Ariel Broom Suspension has long been a popular, do-anywhere illusion. In this classic effect, the performer places a broom under each arm of his assistant as she stands on a small elevated stand. Stand is removed and the assistant remains, balanced on the brooms with her feet above the floor. Next, one of the two brooms is removed and the assistant remains balanced. Next, the assistant is lifted to a 45-degree angle and finally to a 90-degree angle, suspended horizontally on one broom. Harness itself is not cast, but is machined from a single block of mil-spec aircraft aluminum. Shape has been redesigned to make it extremely strong yet light in weight. MASTERCRAFT - BRANSON Built by Mastercraft Magic in Branson, Missouri and looks like fine furniture. Legs are made of solid maple hardwood and are easily removed for packing. Table and boxes are made of maple plywood edged with solid cherry hardwood. Blade handles are also solid cherry hardwood. Leather restraints were redesigned by Mastercraft. Illusion comes with two blades and two swords, Cases are not included. Two audience members are invited on stage to inspect table, wooden boxes and the leather restraints. Assistant lies on the table and is secured in place with a leather strap around her neck and a second strap around her ankles. Straps are then fed through a hole in the table and held by the audience members so the assistant is held tight to the table. At this point two boxes are placed on top of the assistant where she is visible through doors in each of the boxes. Blade is then inserted between the two boxes and allowed to rest on the assistant in full view of the audience. Blade is then removed, the doors closed, and two blades are inserted between the boxes. A sword is then inserted in each box. Finally boxes are separated and magician walks between them. Table is put back together, blades, sword and boxes removed, and assistant is revealed still restrained and held tight to table by audience volunteers. |

This is a great opener for any show. Doug Malloy is a consultant for Criss Angel’s Mindfreak. He builds illusions for the real world, PROFESSIONAL performer. Prop is heavy duty, but very light. Cage is up and out of the case and ready to go in 15 minutes or less. Prop breaks down and packs in professional grade ATA case, 48 x 35 x 11. Case included. Cloth is very cool sparkle material. We used it not only to produce an assistant, but also German Sheppard size dogs! Plexiglas has been added to sides of load chamber so dog cannot stick head out. CREATIONS - LAS VEGAS Custom made version of Andrew Mayne's Turbo. This is Andrew's take on the walking through a fan effect. I had it custom made by Creeations here in Las Vegas with some alterations. Instead of just a spinning fan it also has other grinders that spin and a seond fan spinning opposite as well for maximum untlet"/"impenatratability". I used it last halloween season and cannot use it again this year. It was also used on my last tour but now with repeat shows coming up I no longer have use for it in my illusion show. It is made like a tank, looks awesome, works like a charm and only requires 2 people to operate. It can also be used as an appearance too. On-board lights to create silouhette. The prop sort of breaks down for transport: the doors come off, the top half of the box sleeves off. It is much bigger than other versions of Turbo out there and is completely enclosed in a box frame so angels are no worry. |
