Just email your list to us and we do the rest. There is no need for you to enter all your items on the auction or keep track of auction starts and closings. We handle everything for you and your items are re- listed automatically until sold. If you send us your smaller props we will inventory them for you. This will save you time and money on packing and mailing items sold each time an auction closes while saving buyers money because we can combine orders when shipping.


 Returns: It is the responsibility of the buyer to return the item to the seller in order to receive a refund. We can't refund money until the item is returned to the seller. When the item is received by the seller in the same condition it was sent, the buyer will receive a refund. If the item is returned without authorization the buyer is responsible for all additional costs (if any) related to the shipment. Shipping costs on items returned are not refundable since that money has already been paid to the shipping company - we do not have it to return.
 Note: Please be courteous to our customers and do not list your items with other auctions, classified ads or sell them in swap meets. If the item is sold in two listings some magician will have to be disappointed if you only have one to sell. If your item is found to be listed elsewhere it will be removed from the auction. Let us know if you want to sell your item elsewhere we will put it on hold or remove it.
 

 Rating System for the Condition Of Items Listed

 (New)....................................................... Item is brand new still in original packaging.
(LN)................................................. Like New - packaging opened but looks like new.
(VG).................... Very Good - Used but is in good working order with normal wear.
(G)............................. Good - In good working condition but shows substantial wear.
(W)............................................................... Worn - Needs repair, re-painting or both.
 

 Include manufacturer's name (if known), the original retail price and your asking price, approx. 1/2 off the retail price.
Your asking price is the amount you will receive when your items are sold.

Photos on illusions are mandatory - also include if the prop has a fiber case, ATA case or crate.  Please provide us the asking price you would like to receive on the item. We will list your items FREE.
You can never receive less or more than your asking price. Items that sell fastest are generally listed at 1/2 off
the original retail price. We list items by adding 10% of retail to your asking price.
You do not pay a commission on your asking price - your asking price is what you receive.
Keep this in mind when setting your asking price. Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer unless otherwise stated by the seller in the listing. We prefer that sellers send us all their magic listed at one time. This saves time and money in shipping costs, since buyers will only pay one shipping charge, we must consolidate the orders here and charge whatever it costs us to ship. Since many magicians travel a great deal, it allows us to service buyers and sellers in a timely fashion. If at any time a seller wishes to withdraw his remaining items, we will pack them up and ship them back. We inventory, pack, label and ship items as a courtesy to sellers and combine items won into one shipment for buyers. All other auctions, buyers pay a separate shipping charge for each item purchased. In some instances the seller does not provide a retail. In this situation we must make a guess estimate.

Do Not Ship Illusions, large stage props, collectors items or other expensive to ship items to us -
they will ship from you, direct to the buyer, to save on double shipping costs.
 

 Stage Illusions
Illusions follow the terms and conditions above for general magic. The commission for Illusions is 10% (your asking price times 1.111) - Sellers do not pay a commission on their asking price. You receive what you have asked for the item - no more and no less. Pictures are required for illusions. Send by e-mail as attached files. Please provide clear and detailed description of the condition of the illusion along with manufacturer and items that are included such as crates, fiber or ATA cases, hoops, costumes, curtains, chains locks etc. Only original and authorized illusions will be listed.
 

 Preparing Your Items For Auction
When preparing your items for auction, please include the following: Item name, category to be listed under, small description of the item, manufacturer, condition, retail Price, and your asking price. (Send by e-mail photos if available - we will add to your listing free) Keep in mind when you set your asking price that our commission is already included when the item is listed.

 Auctions close each Wednesday, items sold, upon receipt of payment from the buyer will be shipped.
When received in acceptable condition by buyer we will send the seller their asking price.
If your item has not sold after a few weeks you can lower your price or remove the item from the listing.

Auctions close each Wednesday at 10:00 PM Eastern Time.
Winning bidders will be notified by e-mail the day after the auction closes.

Since we have to list the item, inventory the item, update the site every time a bid is made, notify the bidder when he wins the item, collect the money for the seller, either ship for the seller or notify seller to ship with instructions, provide packing materials and ship for sellers, plus send the check to the seller, not to mention the bookkeeping and cost of a commercial site. That's a lot of work for a 10% commission. This system is working well and seems fair to everyone. The seller receives his asking price, the buyer purchases at a discount and we make a profit on anything over your asking price. No one pays an advertising fee and there is no password or entrance fee to enter the auction.
 

 Return Items in Inventory: Your items can can be removed from the auction and returned to you.
We will send you an email with the cost of returning unsold items as quickly as possible upon your email request.
Your request should include your ship to address.
 

 Our Seller Guarantee:
Your items will not be shipped until the money is collected from the winning bidder and it clears the bank. It is your responsibility to state the true condition of your items to be sold. If an item is received in poor or worn condition you may have it returned, unless the items condition was clearly stated in your listing. Be specific in your descriptions. If an item is received by a buyer in unsatisfactory condition the seller will be put in contact with the buyer to settle the matter. If a reasonable settlement is not reached in 10 days the item will be sent back to the seller. If you are clear and detailed in your description of the condition of your items you will avoid a return. We are not responsible for disputes between buyers and sellers after 30 days. Magicauction.com is not responsible for fees paid by buyers or sellers on cancelled transactions. Fees for sending payments are charged by Banks / PayPal and are deducted from the original amount before we receive the payment, therefore we do not have the fee to refund. Whenever possible on Pay Pal refunds we will send the refund within 60 days to insure that Pay Pal also refunds the fee. On wire transfers or money orders there is no way for us to refund the cost or fee charged. Sellers listing Knock offs of original illusions, trying to pass off a counterfeit copy as an original or selling any props that are not authorized by the originator or manufacturer will be returned to the seller. Knock Offs are not permitted to be listed at Magicauction.com

 Seller Notice: Buyers making payments by credit card, wire transfer or similar payment options - all charges will be absorbed by the seller. There is usually a $20.00 bank charge to receive a wire transfer. Orders paid by Pay Pal or Credit Card will cost the seller approx. three percent plus a .30 fee for Pay Pal to process the transaction. Pay Pal E-Checks - flat fee of $5.00.
 

 Payment: We offer a guarantee to both the buyer and seller. To cover both parties we hold payment in an escrow account until the buyer confirms receipt of his purchase. Every weekend we do checks for all transactions that are completed (received notification) that week and mail them on Monday morning. Seller's checks include their asking price for each item received and any shipping reimbursement due less any Pay Pal or Credit Card fees.
 

 Items that are not Returnable:
If you do not like the item, do not like the manufacturer's quality, or you made a mistake and bid on the wrong item. However... items can always be re-listed and sold to someone else who may not feel the same way about the item as you do.

We will list your items as soon as they are received, (or an email is received with instructions to list the items) Requesting an item or items to be listed will be considered as acceptance of our terms as stated above.
